December 2025 I went to Malta for the first time including a short trip to Gozo Island. Malta is a beautiful country. The public transportation there cost at that time 2 EUR for 2 hours bus ticket (2.5eur during summer time). Ferries between Valetta – Sliema and Valetta – Cospicua cost 2.5eur, Ćirekewwa (Melieha) to Mgarr (to Gozo Island) cost 4.65 EUR and Mgarr to Valetta is 7.5 EUR. Generally lunch/dinner food you have to expect prices of 10-25 EUR for a dish, however for super budget people, patisseries offer a lot of cheap and good varieties as well for 0.7 – 2.5 EUR. Maltese dishes usually uses sea food, gozo cheese and rabbit.
